Xiaomi unveils the Xiaoji A2000 10kg washing machine dryer
Xiaomi has launched a new two-in-one device, the Xiaoji A2000 10kg washing machine and dryer. The device has a touchscreen with two colorways, blue and orange, indicating whether the machine is in washing or drying mode.
The gadget is powered by a dual-drive inverter motor and BLDC drainage pump, both of which Xiaomi says will reduce the noise created by the machine. There are 36 different programs on the washer-dryer, including those designed for wool and silk items.
The settings include six temperatures and four drying levels, plus high-speed settings such as a 15-minute quick wash. You can also steam clothes with the machine, protecting delicate garments while removing odor and reducing wrinkles.
The washer-dryer has several intelligent features, such as automated detergent dosing based on the weight of the load and your chosen program. The device will automatically stop when it detects that the clothes are dry and can give sound alerts if there is an error with the machine.
You can now pre-order the Xiaoji A2000 10kg washing machine and dryer in China for 3,999 yuan (~US$628). After this initial pre-sale period, the price will increase to 6,999 yuan (~US$1,100). It is unclear whether or when Xiaomi could sell this gadget in other markets.
