Honor is now touted to have a premium tablet to launch later in 2022. This new leak has spawned additional rumors that the device will do so with a processor optimized for the form factor in question. This "Kompanio 9000" may or may not be the tablet version of MediaTek's current top-end mobile processor.

Honor 's Tab V7 Pro was this OEM's return to the high-end Android tablet market in 2021; now, the OEM is tipped to produce a successor for this device in 2022. Furthermore, it is now rumored to do so with what might be the best silicon MediaTek could provide for it in the same year.

The latest allegations of a new flagship tablet coming from Honor in the near future has given rise to speculation that this slate would have a display of about 12.6 inches in diagonal length, so as to compete with potential rivals such as the iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+.

Then again, given the chatter that has arisen on Weibo around this new rumor, demand for an ~11-inch variant remains. Then again, Honor and MediaTek are projected not to commit the "Kompanio 9000" SoC to such a variant.

Specs and details on this allegedly upcoming flagship tablet chipset are thin on the ground as yet; however, its alleged product name does imply a new version of the Dimensity 9000 adapted for inclusion in the Kompanio series. Its potentially inaugural tablet is currently predicted to launch in May, possibly alongside a new laptop from Honor.
