Honor has launched the X7 in Europe, a smartphone that resembles the Play 30 Plus in many respects. Tipping the scales at 198 g, the Honor X7 also measures 167.59 x 77.19 x 8.62 mm and has a 6.74-inch display. According to Honor, the X7 features a 1,600 x 720-pixel LCD panel that has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90 Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, the X7 relies on the Snapdragon 680, rather than the Dimensity 700 in the Play 30 Plus. As such, the Honor X7 is a 4G smartphone. In comparison, the Dimensity 700 in the Play 30 Plus allows it to offer 5G connectivity. Moreover, the Honor X7 has a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 22.5 W fast charging via its USB 2.0 Type-C port.
Incidentally, Honor equips the X7 with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a 48 MP primary camera. Also, the Honor X7 has a 5 MP secondary and 2 MP depth and macro cameras, plus an 8 MP front-facing camera. The Honor X7 is available in Europe from €199 with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, Honor has created a 6 GB variant, but both configurations come with Magic UI 4.2 based on Android 11, not Android 12.
