Xiaomi has announced a new Wi-Fi gateway, the Redmi Router AX6000. The mesh router can deliver wireless speeds up to 5.95 Gbps, with access to the 160 MHz band to reduce latency, double the bandwidth that the AX3000 router had.
The company states that the gadget has 512 MB RAM, allowing it to simultaneously support up to 248 devices. A four-core processor powers the router with eight signal amplifiers to ensure wall-to-wall coverage.
The router measures 241 x 192 x 218 mm (~9.5 x 7.6 x 8.6-in) and has an adaptive smart network port to support WAN and LAN connections. The gadget has OFDMA technology to increase the number of devices to which it can transmit data. MU-MIMO technology allows more connected devices to send and receive data simultaneously.
You can network the Redmi Router AX6000 with other Wi-Fi 6 capable Xiaomi and Redmi routers, and you can use the Mijia app to set up and intelligently control the gadget. You can access intelligent features such as auto-discovery of devices and one-key password-free network distribution through the app.
Xiaomi says that the device comes with 180 days free of game accelerators; 90 days of access to the XunYou and Qiyou Online Treasure platforms. You can now buy the Redmi AX6000 router from Xiaomi in China for 499 yuan (~US$78). Customers in other countries can purchase the device from third-party sellers on AliExpress.
