Sony has revealed European pricing for more Bravia XR TVs, ranging from the Bravia X85K to the Bravia X95K. The announcement comes a week after Sony unveiled how much the Bravia X80K series costs, discussed separately. Available to pre-order from yesterday, the Bravia XR 2022 series starts with the KD-43X85K, a 43-inch model that retails for €1,049.
In comparison, the XR-85X95K retails for €6,499, mainly because of its 85-inch panel and Mini LED backlights. Additionally, the Bravia XR Master Series A95K features Cognitive Processor XR and XR Backlight Master Drive, an in-house local dimming algorithm that Sony claims delivers 'extraordinary brightness' and 'beautifully natural mid tones', among other features.
Moreover, the Bravia XR 2022 series relies on Google TV and is, supposedly, 'Perfect for PlayStation 5'. In real terms, this means that the Bravia XR 202 series has HDMI 2.1 ports and 120 Hz panels, which also makes them compatible with Xbox Series S|X consoles and current-generation graphics cards like the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
Incidentally, Sony is offering an exclusive discount in some European countries, such as Germany. Until May 10, Sony will bundle a complimentary PlayStation 5 with many A80K, A83K, A84K, A95K and X95K pre-orders.
