Xiaomi launches the Mijia Smart DC Variable Frequency Standing Fan with a 16 m range
Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Smart DC Variable Frequency Standing Fan, currently crowdfunding in China. The company claims that the device can cycle air throughout your house in just two minutes.
The gadget has a 31 m/min (~102 ft/min) air refreshment rate and a 16 m (~52 ft) circulation range, ensuring the air in your room is always fresh. The fan can blow wind at up to 6.5 m/s (~21 ft/s) and has a wide multi-angle range, rotating 150° horizontally and 90° vertically.
The Mijia Smart Fan has in-built temperature and humidity sensors which it can use to control the device’s output intelligently. There are four modes to choose from, including a night mode that reduces the fan’s noise to 32.75 dBA.
You can control the fan using the buttons installed on its body, with the Mijia app or Xiao AI voice commands. Also, you can connect the gadget to other smart home devices such as air purifiers or humidifiers to generate the air quality that you want.
You can pre-order the Mijia Smart DC Variable Frequency Standing Fan in China for 429 yuan (~US$67), with the product expected to ship on April 4th. After this pre-sale period, the price will increase to 499 yuan (~US$78). It is unclear whether or when the gadget will be available in other markets.
