Xiaomi's latest vanilla flagship Android slate debuted as the Mi Pad 5; however, it is unequivocally referred to as the OEM's fifth-gen Pad instead in its latest launch promos. However, it should still bring its 11-inch 2.5K 120Hz display driven by a Snapdragon 860 SoC with it when it lands in India.
Then again, the OEM may only confirm this in several instalments over the next few days starting from April 19, 2022 on the tablet's mi.com/in Coming Soon page. So far, Xiaomi asserts that its Pad 5 will enable the user to "do it better" as a result of this upcoming event. What is meant by "it" is not clear at this point, although it might involve the native stylus support baked into the Pad's version of MIUI.
Then again, there is no mention of the Pad 5 Pro on Xiaomi India's new hype-pages. Nevertheless, going by its new launch date (April 27, 2022), its vanilla counterpart is destined to launch alongside the 12 Pro in its new market. There is no word as to how much the Pad 5 might cost once released there, however.
