Xiaomi OLED Vision Smart TV to launch with Android TV 11 and Dolby Vision IQ
91mobiles claims that Xiaomi is on the verge of announcing a new OLED Smart TV that packs quite a few features. Supposedly arriving as a 55-inch TV first, the Xiaomi OLED Vision Smart TV will output at 4K and will be compatible with Dolby Vision IQ, IMAX Enhanced, and Filmmaker mode. In other words, the Xiaomi OLED Vision Smart TV will match the new LG OLED C2 in some areas.
For reference, Dolby Vision IQ debuted in 2020 and is an updated version of Dolby Vision. According to Dolby, its Vision IQ technology adjusts HDR pictures by combining information from a TV's light sensor with dynamic metadata from Dolby Vision. In practice, this should allow the Xiaomi OLED Vision Smart TV to adjust its brightness automatically when switching from one kind of content to another. Also, Dolby Vision IQ should allow Xiaomi's TV to display HDR-compatible films more brightly in light environments than its predecessors can.
Moreover, Xiaomi's new TV is expected to launch with eight speakers that output at 30 W. Apparently, there will be support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoding too, along with Android TV 11. Hence, the TV will be compatible with Google Assistant, implying that it or its remote control will have built-in microphones. The Xiaomi Vision OLED Smart TV will be available first in India; a global launch remains unknown at this stage.
