Xiaomi could be working on a 100-inch smart TV
Rumors suggest that Xiaomi may shortly release a new 100-inch (254 cm) smart TV. A report by mysmartprice shared information about the 'giant tv', which has been spotted on several certification sites. This device would follow other recent TV releases from Xiaomi, including the Redmi Smart TV X75 released in China late last year.
A gadget with model number L100R8-MAX and the name 'Redmi MAX 100-inch Giant Screen TV' has been listed on the Bluetooth SIG certification database. According to the listing, the device would come with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
Mysmartprice found another listing on the 3C certification website with the identical model number; a 3C certification is mandatory in China for customer safety. No further details were listed on this website.
The 100-inch TV wouldn't be the company's first 'giant' device; Xiaomi launched the Redmi Smart TV 98-inch Max in India in March 2020 with much success. This gadget had a 4K display with a 60 Hz refresh rate and an 85% NTSC color gamut. The TV also had 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
One could reasonably expect this new 100-inch display to have similar or better visual and audio specifications to the 98-inch Max TV. It is not currently clear when the 100-inch product will launch, though it will likely be released in China first.
