Xiaomi Watch S1 Active launch date confirmed as Amazon starts selling upcoming smartwatch
Xiaomi has confirmed the global launch date of the Watch S1, pictured below. Initially released last December in China, the Watch S1 has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, 5 ATM water resistance and a 46 mm case size. Also, Xiaomi has included a GPS module, a heart rate sensor and a 470 mAh battery. Moreover, the Watch S1 has over 110 exercise modes pre-installed, among other software features.
As the image above shows, Xiaomi will unveil the Watch S1 tomorrow during an online launch event. For reference, the Watch S1 will debut outside China alongside the Xiaomi 12 series, which consists of the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X and the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Seemingly, there are no differences between the global versions of any of these devices and their Chinese counterparts.
Incidentally, Amazon has re-listed the Watch S1 Active on its German website. Currently, the retailer has priced the smartwatch at €195.08 including VAT, undercutting its expected €199 MSRP. Additionally, Amazon reports that it will begin shipping orders on March 18. Xiaomi is rumoured to be launching the Watch S1 in three colours at various price points, with the Watch S1 being the cheapest of the three.
