Xiaomi reveals 65-inch entry in the TV P1E series with Android TV 10
Xiaomi has expanded its TV P1E series, previously limited to 43-inch and 55-inch models. As its name suggests, the TV P1E 65" is a 65-inch TV, although it shares its core specifications with the TV P1E 43" and TV P1E 55". Accordingly, the TV P1E 65" has a 4K native resolution and relies on LED backlights.
Unfortunately, Xiaomi has only equipped the TV P1E 65" with a 60 Hz panel; there are no high refresh rates or HDMI 2.1 ports here. Instead, Xiaomi provides the TV P1E 65" with two HDMI 1.4 ports and a single HDMI 2.0 connection. The TV has three USB 2.0 Type-A ports too, along with Ethernet, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and an Optical Audio port.
Additionally, the TV P1E 65" runs Android TV 10 and supports Google Assistant. Alternatively, you could use Amazon Alexa should you prefer Amazon's digital assistant. Incidentally, the TV comes with dual 10 W speakers that support Dolby Audio and DTS-HD. Also, the TV utilises Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation (MEMC) to minimise image juddering.
While Xiaomi has announced the TV P1E 65", the TV will not be available to purchase until the middle of April. For some reason, the company has been unable to provide a specific launch date yet, although it states that the TV has €749 MSRP. For reference, the TV P1 65" will be orderable from Xiaomi directly and from third-party retailers.
