Xiaomi TV Stick 4K arrives: Android 11 on Android TV, Dolby Vision support and Google Assistant built-in
Xiaomi has announced another streaming stick, seemingly the one that the FCC leaked in September. Unsurprisingly, the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K offers a native 4K resolution, an upgrade on last year's 1080p model. Incidentally, Xiaomi has also dropped its 'Mi' branding from another product category, having already done so with its smartphones.
The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K runs on Android 11 on Android TV, or Android TV 11 for short. Accordingly, the streaming stick supports the Google Play Store and countless popular streaming services, such as Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube. The bundled remote has shortcuts for Amazon Prime Video and Netflix too, along with a dedicated Google Assistant button.
Moreover, the new streaming stick has 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU and four Cortex-A35 CPU cores. Also, Xiaomi states that the TV Stick 4K supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision and all standard codecs, such as AV1 and VP9.
Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not confirmed when it will begin selling the TV Stick 4K, nor for how much or in which regions. You can find more details about the new streaming stick on Xiaomi's website.
