MIUI 12.5.10 Enhanced Edition brings last month's security patch to the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro
If everything goes as rumored, the first Xiaomi handsets to get the MIUI 13 update will receive the new firmware in roughly two weeks, just before 2022 kicks in. Sadly, the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro is not expected to be one of these first-wave devices to receive the update. However, this one-year-old smartphone has just received a new MIUI 12.5 update, namely MIUI 12.5.10.
Labeled 18.104.22.168.RJDEUXM, this new Enhanced Edition firmware update has only 160 MB in size and the official description doesn't say much about it. Unsurprisingly, all that can be noticed is that the security patch date is now November 1, 2021. Apart from that, the MIUI 12.5.10 update for the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro comes with "optimized system performance" and "improved system security and stability" without the addition of any new features.
As usual, the update rolls out in waves, so there are probably still many Mi 10T Pro users in the wild who are waiting for the new piece of code to reach their devices. In my case, the update arrived earlier today and, for those wondering, I am in Romania as usual. Those who use the non-Pro Xiaomi Mi 10T should check for the availability of this update as well.
If you got the update already, feel free to hit the comments section to let us know what you think about it. On the other hand, those fed up with MIUI might want to check out the custom ROMs available for the Mi 10T Pro instead of dropping the phone for another brand or model.
