Panasonic has expanded its OLED Smart TVs, which it refreshed in January at CES 2022. While the company showcased the LZW2000 in Las Vegas, it has now introduced a slew of new series that span 42-inch to 77-inch panel sizes. The LZW2000 remains Panasonic's flagship OLED TV series, but it has now added the LZ800, LZ980, LZ1000 and the LZ1500.
According to Panasonic's press release, its new OLED TVs will be available in the following panel sizes:
- Panasonic LZ2000 - 55-inch, 65-inch, 77-inch
- Panasonic LZ1500 - 42-inch, 48-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch
- Panasonic LZ1000 - 55-inch, 65-inch
- Panasonic LZ980 - 42-inch, 48-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch
- Panasonic LZ800 - 42-inch, 48-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch
If that was not confusing enough, not all LZ2000 and LZ1500 TVs feature the same panel type. Specifically, Panasonic offers all but 42-inch and 48-inch with Master OLED Pro panels. Instead, these TVs have standard OLED panels, a step up down from the Master OLED panels found in the LZ1000. For reference, the LZ800 series has standard OLED panels too.
Regardless, Panasonic's OLED portfolio outputs at 4K with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, Panasonic has included HDMI 2.1 connectivity, AMD FreeSync Premium and HDMI Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). Pricing has not been announced yet, but Panasonic has confirmed that all its OLED TVs come with ambient light sensors to optimise brightness levels and colour temperature. Also, the TVs run My Home Screen 7.0, which features current streaming services.
