Bang & Olufsen Beovision Harmony OLED Smart 83-in TV model launches
Bang & Olufsen has launched a new 83-in (~211 cm) option for its Beovision Harmony OLED smart TV. The new gadget is identical to those already in the range, with a self-lit OLED screen. Support for Dolby Vision IQ technology enables rich detail and colors. The display has 8K resolution and can upscale lower-resolution content to nearly match this.
The Beovision Harmony has a unique design with two sculpted wood or metal and fabric panels that cover the TV when not in use. The panels glide apart as you power up the device and rest under the TV screen.
You can connect to the TV in multiple ways, including via Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast and Bluetooth. The gadget has HDMI eARC, HDMI 2.1, USB and Ethernet ports. Plus, you can wirelessly connect eight BeoLab speakers to the device for an enhanced sound experience.
These would accompany the existing three-channel speaker system and an integrated 7.1 surround sound module built into the TV. Various sound enhancing technologies are used, and the gadget supports Dolby Digital plus 7.1 and 5.1, and DTS HD-Master Audio 7.1 formats.
You can now buy the 83-in Beovision Harmony TV in Oak Wood for US$24,625. For context, the 88-in model costs US$54,725, and the equivalent 77-in model currently retails for $24,725.
