Xiaomi F2 Fire TV series introduced in Europe and the UK with 43, 50 and 55-inch screen sizes
Xiaomi has introduced the F2 Fire TV series, produced in collaboration with Amazon. As such, all F2 Fire TV models rely on Fire OS, which has now reached version 7.0. Unsurprisingly, all models also come with remote controls that support Alexa Voice Control and resemble an elongated Fire TV remote. For reference, Fire OS 7 bundles Apple AirPlay, Disney+, Miracast and Netflix functionality, plus other popular streaming services like YouTube.
Additionally, all models contain tuners with DVB-T/T2, DVB-C and DVB-S/S2 connectivity. Moreover, the F2 Fire TV series supports up to 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and has Ethernet connectivity. Seemingly, all F2 Fire TVs share other components, including 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of RAM and a quad-core SoC with ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores and a Mali-G52 GPU. Elsewhere, Xiaomi has included dual 12 W speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD support, plus HDMI 2.1 connectivity.
Finally, all F2 Fire TV models have 4K and 60 Hz panels with 92% DCI-P3 colour space coverages. Xiaomi adds that all are capable of reproducing HDR10 and HLG content, although none support Dolby Atmos or Dolby Vision. As with many Xiaomi TVs, the F2 Fire TV series rely on MEMC technology to reduce image tearing and motion blur. At launch, the F2 Fire TV series will retail at the following prices:
- F2 Fire TV 43-inch: £339/€399 (€339 early bird)
- F2 Fire TV 50-inch: £379/€449 (€379 early bird)
- F2 Fire TV 55-inch: £424/€499 (€419 early bird)
