New Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 and Xiaomi 12 Ultra details emerge with 67 W fast charging touted
Digital Chat Station has outlined more details about upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphones, following the announcement of its collaboration with Leica. According to the renowned leaker, Xiaomi is prototyping two Xiaomi 12 Ultra colour options, including a new ceramic model. Supposedly, the ceramic white finish of the MIX 4 could be returning, which may be joined by a black leather option.
Presumably vegan leather like the green version of the Xiaomi 12 Pro that Xiaomi sells in China, Digital Chat Station adds that Leica may not allow its iconic red logo to be displayed on Xiaomi's smartphones. While concept renders have included the Leica logo on the back of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, only the in-house Leitz Phone 1 has featured the Leica to date, despite the company's partnerships with Huawei and Sharp.
Incidentally, a host of upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphones have been spotted at the 3C in China. Allegedly, Xiaomi has certified the Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro and the MIX Fold 2 as featuring 67 W fast charging, well down on the charging capabilities of recent Redmi smartphones like the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus. Unfortunately, Xiaomi is only rumoured to be releasing these devices in China, which could also apply to the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Release dates for the four flagships remain unknown at this stage too, although a few could rely on Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.
