The upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra may rule the headlines as Xiaomi's biggest release of the year but the company also has another Ultra model in the works, with the Redmi K50 Ultra seemingly on the way. A new leak now revealed more details of the Redmi K50 Ultra as well, painting an image of a proper premium device.
Going by word from Chinese sources, the Redmi K50 Ultra will feature a QHD+ E5 AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Considering Xiaomi's recent track record with displays, the panel itself can be expected to be of great quality. Under the hood will be a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, positioning the Redmi K50 Ultra above the Dimensity 9000-powered Redmi K50 Pro.
Supposedly, the Redmi K50 Ultra will bring "significant enhancements in imagery", thanks to a 50 MP main camera. The leaker fails to specify which sensor that will be, but claims it will be a "super-large" sensor—perhaps the 1/1.57-inch GN5 or the 1/1.3-inch GN1. In addition, the Redmi K50 Ultra is said to offer 120 W fast-charging like the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
