Rumor | Xiaomi 13 Pro: the upcoming flagship's upgrades could be wild in terms of finish as well as SoC
Xiaomi is projected to launch a replacement for its 2021 super-flagship the Mi 11 Ultra soon. However, should the rumor mill have it right, the OEM may have thrown a consumer-choice wrench into its own works by allowing word of its next flagship series' accelerated development to leak out. Now, these potential buying dilemmas might get worse as it seems the 12 Ultra and the 13 Pro might have a certain premium attribute in common.
The former has been slated to stand out at launch by following both the Mi 11 Ultra and the Mix 4 in having a ceramic rear panel. Unfortunately for its preliminary reputation, the 13 Pro is now also allegedly destined for this finish. The reliable leaker Digital Chat Station now hints that Xiaomi had run out of time to add one to the 12 Pro as well, but now has it ready for that phone's successor.
The OEM has often boasted of its ability to optimize the design and texture of the ceramic unibodies found on its current flagships; now, it is slated to unveil the latest advancements in these techniques in the upcoming 13 Pro. Therefore, leaks such as this might impel some buyers to hold off on a purchase such the 12 Ultra launch event roll around, however soon.
