After launching the Xiaomi 11T and Xiaomi 11T Pro back in October last year, Xiaomi is already working on a successor to those phones. According to a new report, the Xiaomi 12T series is on the way.
As revealed by Xiaomiui, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will debut with the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 later in the year. Apparently, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will be the only Xiaomi device to launch on the global market this year with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Xiaomi 12T Pro is also expected to be a rebadge of the Redmi K50S Pro. According to Mukul Sharma, serial production for the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro has begun and launch is now imminent.
In fact, it appears Xiaomi will only launch a few devices with Qualcomm's new flagship chipset. That isn't surprising, as the company has only released the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Redmi K50 Gaming Edition and Poco F4 GT with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 this year—and the latter two are essentially the same device.
