Xiaomi 12T battery specs revealed by new leak ^↺

The upcoming Xiaomi 12T Pro was the subject of multiple leaks over the past few weeks. Its younger sibling, the Xiaomi 12T, also had its innards revealed recently. It was slated to feature a 1.5K OLED screen, a 108 MP camera sensor and a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra. Twitter leaker Yogesh Brar has now shed light on some additional specs of the smartphone.

Unlike its predecessor, the Xiaomi 11T, which featured a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, the Xiaomi 12T will use an under-display solution, something that will pair well with its OLED screen. However, the smartphone will recycle its predecessor's 5,000 mAh battery and limit its fast charging capacity to 67 Watts, come with a set of stereo speakers and run Android 12 customized with MIUI 13 out of the box.

Overall, the Xiaomi 12T doesn't seem like much of an upgrade over the Xiaomi 11T, except for the fingerprint sensor and a slightly better 20 MP selfie camera. The Dimensity 8100 is at a bit of a disadvantage due to the lack of a "Prime" Cortex-A78 CPU core, although the improved 5 nm process node and better GPU might help make up for it. The tailor-made "Ultra" variant might also have a few tricks up its sleeve, giving it a much-needed edge over its precursor's Dimensity 1200.
