Xiaomi 12T Pro: Seeming Redmi K50S Pro rebadge appears on IMEI database as global model
Xiaomiui has discovered the Xiaomi 12T Pro on an IMEI database. Arriving a few weeks after the appearance of the Xiaomi 12T in similar circumstances, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is expected to be the company's first flagship smartphone released outside China since the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. In comparison, the Xiaomi 12S series will remain restricted to Xiaomi's home market.
As the screenshot below shows, the Xiaomi 12T Pro carries the model number 22081212UG, with its 'G' suffix confirming that it is a global device. Additionally, '2208' implies that the Xiaomi 12T Pro will debut in August, a month earlier than the Xiaomi 11T Pro or Mi 10T Pro. Unfortunately, the database result does not provide any other details about the Xiaomi 12T Pro. Still, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is rumoured to be the global version of the Redmi K50S Pro, details of which we discussed yesterday.
Accordingly, the Xiaomi 12T Pro should utilise the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, Qualcomm's latest flagship SoC. For reference, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 has a single ARM Cortex-X2 CPU core running at up to 3.2 GHz, followed by three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.75 GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores that reach 2.0 GHz when needed. Moreover, the SoC features an improved Adreno 730 GPU that delivers a decent uplift over the equivalent in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Also, the Xiaomi 12T Pro should launch with a 120 Hz AMOLED display, 120 W wired fast charging and a 200 MP primary camera.
