Xiaomi POCO C40: European pricing revealed with early bird offers for JLQ JR510-powered smartphone with a 6,000 mAh battery
Xiaomi has started selling the POCO C40 in Europe, roughly six weeks after presenting the handset globally. To recap, the POCO C40 features a 6.71-inch and 720p display that operates at 60 Hz. Also equipped with a 13 MP dual camera set-up, the POCO C40 relies on a 6,000 mAh battery and a JLQ JR510 chipset.
As we discussed last month, neither JLQ Technology nor Xiaomi has provided many details about the JLQ JR510 yet. So far, we know that the SoC is based on an 11 nm node with eight ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores and a version of the ARM Mali-G52 GPU. Based on a Geekbench listing, four of the SoC's CPU cores reach 1.5 GHz, 500 MHz lower than the remaining four cores.
Currently, POCO is offering introductory prices on both memory configurations. Running until the end of July 31, the early bird offers reduce the POCO C40 by €20 across the board in its Coral Green, POCO Yellow and Power Black colour options. For reference, the POCO C40 costs €149.90 with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage for now, but will rise to €169.90 on August 1. Likewise, while the 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage version costs €169.90 at the time of publication, it will also increase by €20 to €189.90.
