Xiaomi POCO M5s arrives sporting an AMOLED display and a 64 MP camera from €209
Xiaomi has announced the POCO M5s, a smartphone that measures 160.46 x 74.5 x 8.29 mm and weighs 178.8 g. According to Xiaomi, the smartphone will be available in Blue, Grey and White colourways, all with black camera housings. As for the latter, Xiaomi includes a 64 MP primary sensor, along with 8 MP ultra-wide-angle, 2 MP macro and 2 MP depth cameras. Additionally, the POCO M5s has a 13 MP front-facing camera with an f/2.4 aperture, mirroring the device's 2 MP auxiliary rear-facing cameras.
At the heart of the POCO M5s is a MediaTek Helio G95, an octa-core chipset with an ARM Mali-G76 MC4 GPU that Xiaomi supports with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 flash storage. Moreover, the device has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display running at 1080p with up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the POCO M5s has a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W fast charging via its USB Type-C port.
The POCO M5s starts with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage, matching the POCO M5. Likewise, the smartphone is also available with 128 GB of storage that comes in 4 GB of RAM and 6 GB of RAM configurations. The POCO M5s will be orderable from September 6 in the Eurozone at the following prices. For reference, Xiaomi will run a €20 discount for all configurations from tomorrow, reducing its starting price to €189.
