Xiaomi POCO M4 5G arrives in Europe with a 90 Hz display from €219
Xiaomi has started offering the POCO M4 5G in Europe, nearly four months after the smartphone debuted in India. Strangely, Xiaomi has changed the device's specifications since its launch in India, but only its camera sensors. Specifically, the global POCO M4 5G has a 13 MP primary camera, rather than the 50 MP sensor on which the Indian model relies. While Xiaomi continues to include the same 2 MP sensor, the 8 MP front-facing camera has been swapped for a 5 MP sensor.
Both models look identical though, with the pair relying on the same 164 x 76.1 x 8.9 mm chassis that weighs 200 g. Additionally, the new POCO M4 5G has the same 6.58-inch IPS display operating at 1080p, 90 Hz and with up to 500 nits of peak brightness. Also, the global model has a Dimensity 700 chipset, up to 6 GB of RAM and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18 W fast charging. Xiaomi continues to offer the POCO M4 5G in Cool Blue, Power Black and POCO Yellow colour options, too.
Currently, the POCO M4 5G starts at €219 with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Alternatively, the company offers the smartphone with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage for €249, a minor uplift for double the storage and 2 GB of additional RAM.
As far as we can tell, all colour options are available in these two memory configurations. All SKUs ship with MIUI 13 based on Android 12, too. It remains to be seen whether Xiaomi will release the POCO M4 5G in North America, though.
