Poco M5 and Poco M5s officially confirmed for September 5 global launch

Xiaomi's sub-brand, Poco, is gearing up for the release of its next devices. The company has now confirmed its plans to launch two new devices shortly, although fans who may have been expecting high-profile offerings may be disappointed.

As announced on its official handles a few hours ago, Poco will launch the Poco M5 and Poco M5s next month, on September 5, to be exact. Those two phones will debut globally, as they appear on the Poco Global handle. The Poco India page only announces the Poco M5, however, so it's likely the Indian market doesn't get the Poco M5s.

While details of either phone remain elusive, previous reports seem to indicate that Poco has two chipsets lined up for two devices: the Helio G95 and Helio G99. There's a chance the Helio G80 makes an appearance, too. Supposedly, either the Poco M5 or Poco M5s will be a rebranded Redmi Note 10S. Thankfully, though, September 5 is right about a week away—expectant fans don't have much longer to wait.
