Xiaomi Smart Band 7 gains new features and bug fixes with software version 1.19.15
Xiaomi has released another software update to the Smart Band 7 in China, where it launched two months ago. Joined by a global model a month later and the Band 7 Pro this month, the Smart Band 7 has a 1.62-inch AMOLED display, up to 14 days of battery life and interchangeable watch straps. While Xiaomi issued software version 1.16.0.7 last month, it has now upgraded the Smart Band 7 to software version 1.19.15, which contains a few changes and bug fixes.
On the one hand, Xiaomi has added world clock functionality, a feature that we are surprised to learn was not available from launch. Additionally, this month's update allows people to change the font colour of the photo watch face. Similarly, Xiaomi has enabled interval training for some sports types. It remains to be seen when these features will be available on global models.
On the other hand, Xiaomi claims that software version 1.19.15 addresses numerous bugs. For example, long messages should no longer overlap, and the vibration intensity will not reset after restarting the wearable. Moreover, Xiaomi asserts that it has minimised freezes and outstanding power consumption problems. You can install software version 1.19.1.5 through the Zepp Life app with a paired smartphone.
