Realme's first ever monitor stars in a full-specs Flipkart preview ahead of its imminent release
Realme plans to unveil a new and first-gen monitor in India tomorrow (July 26, 2022); then again, its audience might be able to decide whether they want one or not already thanks to the webpage freshly posted by its official retail partner, Flipkart.
The OEM's break into this market, known as the RMV2201, or "Full HD LED Monitor", could admittedly be described as low-key. Then again, it is referred to as the "Realme Flat Monitor Full HD" elsewhere, a product name that might imply scope for follow-ups that are curved or 4K instead. It is to be 23.8 inches (or 60.5cm), which, again, hints at the possibility of different size variants in the future.
Realme's first-gen matte, VA panel will ship with a fairly conventional-looking metallic stand, although its main body is touted as "futuristic" with minimal bezels and a profile of 6.9mm at its thinnest point. It has pre-launched with a 75Hz refresh rate (which could have been worse) and an 8-millisecond latency at best.
Flipkart and Realme also describe it as a having a "multi-port interface", which means it has 4, including VGA, DC - and USB type-C, which apparently doubles as a DisplayPort. Then again, the final HDMI connection is 1.4, and there is no mention of a 3.5mm jack. In addition, a 250-nit max brightness is specified.
Realme fans can even pre-order the brand's inaugural Flat Monitor Full HD, at an introductory cost of INR 10,799 (~US$135), or 43% of its normal price of INR 18,999 (~US$238), from now.
