BenQ GW2480L: New home and office monitor presented with a 23.8-inch display and thin bezels
BenQ has unveiled the GW2480L, a compact monitor with a 23.8-inch display and three slim bezels. According to the manufacturer, the GW2480L relies on an IPS display that peak at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and 60 Hz. Additionally, the monitor creates up to 250 nits of peak brightness thanks to its series of LED backlights.
Moreover, the GW2480L offers a 1,000:1 native contrast ratio, 5 ms response times (GtG), 72% NTSC colour space coverage and 178°/178° viewing angles (L/R). Incidentally, BenQ has equipped the GW2480L with dual 1 W speakers; a 3.5 mm headphone jack and audio line-in are available too. Unfortunately, there are no USB ports for connecting peripheral devices or for recharging a laptop.
Still, BenQ has equipped the GW2480L with DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 1.4 ports, plus a D-Sub connection. Furthermore, BenQ has included a tiltable stand and a 100 x 100 mm VESA wall mount. The BenQ GW2480L is already orderable in the US, where it retails for US$179.99. While BenQ does not offer the GW2480L in other markets like the UK, the company sells the similar GW2480 for £149.
