AGON PRO AG344UXM: AOC announces pricing and availability for feature-packed gaming monitor
AOC has announced more details about the AGON PRO AG344UXM, which it introduced in March. Originally revealed in China, AOC has since provided pricing and availability for other markets, such as the UK. To recap, the AGON PRO AG344UXM is an ultra-wide gaming monitor measuring 34-inches across. While there are already many large ultra-wide gaming monitors, the AGON PRO AG344UXM features Mini LED backlights, the likes of which Apple includes in the MacBook Pro 14, MacBook Pro 16 and the latest iPad Pro 12.9.
According to AOC, the AGON PRO AG344UXM has 1,152 dimming zones for up to 1,000 cd/m² of peak brightness. Accordingly, the AGON PRO AG344UXM is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified, a certification that also requires 10-bit image processing and double the contrast ratio of DisplayHDR 600 monitors. Incidentally, the AGON PRO AG344UXM operates at 1,000 cd/m² when viewing HDR content, or 600 cd/m² elsewhere. Purportedly, the AGON PRO AG344UXM actually covers 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space, along with offering 100% sRGB coverage.
Furthermore, the IPS panel operates at 3,440 x 1,440 pixels with 1 ms GtG response times and a 170 Hz refresh rate. Elsewhere, AOC has included a 4-port USB hub with USB Type-B upstream, a KVM switch and 90 W USB Power Delivery capabilities. Moreover, AOC has equipped the AGON PRO AG344UXM with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-C (DisplayPort Alt mode) ports. AOC states that the AGON PRO AG344UXM will be available from next month for £1,429.99.
