Philips 5000 27E1N5600HE introduced with a 2.5K resolution, 75 Hz refresh rate and Windows Hello support
Philips has presented the 27E1N5600HE, another entry in the 5000 monitor series. Joined by the Philips 5000 24E1N5300HE, the 27E1N5600HE has an IPS panel with a W-LED backlight system that measures 27-inches across. According to Philips, the monitor outputs at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and 75 Hz, available on either DisplayPort or HDMI connections.
For reference, Philips equips the 27E1N5600HE with single DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4, and USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C ports, with the latter able to charge devices at up to 65 W using the USB Power Delivery 3.0 Protocol. Additionally, Philips includes four USB 3.2 Type-A ports and a 3.5 mm jack for connecting external audio equipment. However, the 27E1N5600HE also has dual 5 W speakers, plus a 5 MP webcam that supports Windows Hello.
Separately, Philips claims that the 27E1N5600HE offers 4 ms GtG and 1 ms MPRT response times, 300 nits of peak brightness and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. Likewise, the 27E1N5600HE is rated to deliver 102.02% and 114.18% coverages of the NTSC and sRGB colour spaces, respectively. The Philips 5000 27E1N5600HE will be orderable from the middle of June for £379, £110 more than the Philips 5000 24E1N5300HE.
