AOC AGON PRO AG274QS: 27-inch and 300 Hz gaming monitor presented with DisplayHDR 600 certification and a QHD resolution
AOC has introduced the AGON PRO AG274QS, building on the AG254FG and the AG274FZ. According to AOC, the AGON PRO AG274QS is one of the first monitors to combine a 2.5K (2,560 x 1,440) resolution with a 300 Hz refresh rate, although it is not the only 2.5K and high refresh rate monitor out there. Ultimately, few graphics cards will be capable of pushing 300 FPS at 2.5K in most triple-A titles, other than AMD and NVIDIA's current flagship cards.
Regardless, the AGON PRO AG274QS offers 0.5 MPRT and 1 ms GtG response times, plus AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC support to minimise image tearing. Also, AOC notes that the AGON PRO AG274QS supports VESA Adaptive-Sync, on account of its DisplayHDR 600 certification. Incidentally, this means that the AGON PRO AG274QS will deliver 10-bit image processing and at least 600 nits of peak brightness, as well as excellent colour space coverage. Unfortunately, AOC has not confirmed the AGON PRO AG274QS' colour space coverages or Delta E deviation yet.
However, the AGON PRO AG274QS has customisable and synchronisable RGB effects through AOC's Light FX software, along with a height, pivot, swivel and tilt adjustable stand. Moreover, AOC has equipped the AGON PRO AG274QS with four USB 3.2 Type-A ports and dual 5 W speakers; video outputs remain unknown at this stage. The AOC AGON PRO AG274QS will be orderable later this month in multiple markets, including the UK, where it will retail for £929.99.
