AOC recently announced a high-end 43-in gaming monitor featuring a 144 Hz VA panel, HDR1000 certification, and FreeSync. The G4309VX, unfortunately, seems limited to the Chinese market for now. Furthermore, AOC's yet to offer details about pricing.

AOC recently announced the G4309VX, a 43-inch gaming monitor with high-end specs, targeted at the Chinese market. The G4309VX's massive 43-inch display has an edge-lit VA panel with HDR1000 certification and a 144 Hz variable refresh rate, with FreeSync support.

The high refresh rate makes the G4309VX a good option for competitive, high framerate gaming, assuming you have a card like the RX 6800 XT or GeForce RTX 3080 that can push out frames fast enough.

The monitor is HDR1000 certified, meaning that it'll get plenty bright. However, we are looking at an edge-lit panel here with a limited number of dimming zones, as opposed to something like the AOC Agon Pro AG274QXM, which has a FALD panel with 576 dimming zones. This means HDR quality might not be optimal.

AOC has yet to release pricing for the G4309VX and there's no word about availability outside China. However, if the monitor maker can get pricing right and offer the G4309VX in international markets, it could be a competitive alternative to other high-end 4K monitors out right now like the Asus ROG Strix XG438Q.
