It's one of the cheapest 75 Hz 34-inch curved gaming monitors we've seen with colors that go beyond the sRGB gamut. If you don't game in 4K, then its relatively low 2560 x 1080 native resolution should pair well with most budget to mid-range PCs.

Office Depot is currently hosting a sale on the AOC 34 inch CQ34G2E monitor for $80 USD off the original launch price. Buyers would be getting a lot of value for the money when considering the specifications of the monitor in question:

  • 21:9 34-inch ultra-wide FHD 2560 x 1080 resolution VA panel
  • 300 nit display brightness
  • 1 ms typical response time
  • 3000:1 native contrast ratio
  • 1500R curved monitor
  • 75 Hz refresh rate
  • AMD FreeSync support
  • 118.8 percent sRGB coverage
  • DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4, 3.5 mm audio-out
  • VESA compatible
  • 18.9 x 9.5 x 31.84 inches (approximate)
  • 3-year limited warranty

Now, gamers will likely be quick to point out the relatively low native resolution of just 2560 x 1080 for such a large 34-inch screen size which is certainly a fair point of criticism. The low PPI of just 81.7 will not look as crisp as on smaller FHD displays. For just under $200 USD, however, the display will still satisfy a great deal of budget gamers out there who aren't yet ready to invest in pricey 4K gaming hardware.

To entice users even further, the monitor includes a three-year manufacturer warranty instead of the usual one year we see on most other electronics. We've yet to test the monitor ourselves, but its features and price point are definitely worth keeping an eye on if you're content with 1080p gaming.
