Xiaomi has presented the Monitor 27-inch 4K, a high-resolution monitor with PANTONE colour certification. Xiaomi has included dual HDMI 2.1 ports too, along with a USB hub that supports up to 90 W USB Type-C charging.

Xiaomi has announced its latest external monitor, having teased it on Weibo. Based on machine translation, Xiaomi has called its new monitor the 'Xiaomi Monitor 27-inch 4K', a descriptive model name that the company will probably change if it releases it outside China. To date, Xiaomi has not confirmed if it will sell the 27-inch monitor beyond its home market, but it has brought a few monitors to Europe and the UK so far, among other markets.

As its name suggests, the Xiaomi Monitor 27-inch 4K has a 27-inch and 4K panel, making it larger and a higher resolution than the XMMNT245HF2 unveiled in November. For reference, the XMMNT245HF2 is a 24.5-inch and 1080p monitor with a 240 Hz refresh rate.  While the Xiaomi Monitor 27-inch 4K does not have a high refresh rate panel, it has superior colour space coverage and colour accuracy.

Specifically, the monitor offers 99% coverage of the Adobe RGB and DCI P3 colour spaces, along with DeltaE deviations of less than 1. Xiaomi claims that the monitor is PANTONE certified as well. Hence, the Xiaomi Monitor 27-inch 4K should be colour accurate enough for professional photo and video editing.

Moreover, the 400 nit monitor DisplayHDR 400 and TÜV Rheinland certified. Incidentally, Xiaomi has equipped the monitor with dual HDMI 2.1 ports, a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection and a USB hub with dual USB Type-A ports. Additionally, the monitor can recharge devices at up to 90 W via a built-in USB Type-C port. Currently, Xiaomi sells the monitor in China for CNY 2,999 (~US$470) but prices will rise to CNY 3,499 (~US$549) after a short pre-sale period.
