Xiaomi has presented a new gaming monitor with a 240 Hz refresh rate. The XMMNT245HF2 also contains two HDMI 2.1 ports, supports AMD FreeSync Premium and is DisplayHDR 400 certified.

Xiaomi has brought another small gaming monitor to market, having already launched the XMMNT245HF1 this year. While the XMMNT245HF1 has a 160 Hz refresh rate, the XMMNT245HF2 tops out at 240 Hz. Essentially, the XMMNT245HF2 features many of the same features as its predecessor but with a higher refresh rate.

Hence, the 24.5-inch IPS panel has 1 ms GtG response times, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and peaks at 400 cd/m². Xiaomi claims that the monitor is DisplayHDR 400 certified too, and that it supports AMD FreeSync Premium to minimise image tearing. Additionally, the XMMNT245HF2 offers 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, DC dimming, and below 1 Delta E deviations.

The XMMNT245HF2 is fairly sparse when it comes to I/O, but it does feature dual HDMI 2.1 ports, making it compatible with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. Xiaomi has included a DisplayPort 1.2 connection as well, along with a 3.5 mm jack for connecting external speakers.

The Xiaomi XMMNT245HF2 will be available to order from November 11 in China. The monitor retails for CNY 1,599 (~US$250), although it is unclear if Xiaomi plans to release it outside China. If it decides not to, we imagine that third-party retailers will eventually stock it.
