The newest most premium tablet produced by Lenovo for the global market has a sub-13-inch E4 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution, quad JBL speakers and stylus support. Now, the OEM has also graced its Chinese fans with this collection of specs in the form of the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6. It can be pre-ordered in its new market from now.

Following a lengthy campaign of leaks and teasers, Lenovo has finally made the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6 official. The OEM has also now effectively dropped all pretense that it is anything other than a Tab P12 Pro rebrand in the process. This, however, is no bad thing as it means the renamed version brings all the advantages of that tablet to a new market.

They include its Snapdragon 870 SoC for the option of always-on 5G, not to mention its quad speakers with Dolby Atmos and a "cinema-grade" iQiyi 5.1-channel sound effect for immersive sound. Lenovo thus asserts the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6 works as well for productivity as it does for entertainment.

On that note, the OEM has also debuted ZUI 13 for Pad on the Pro 12.6. This, as the name suggests, is a new version of the OS optimized for slates. It includes a new interface rated for improved speed and responsiveness; Windows integrations that include the potential for smoother file transfers and working with multiple devices; new wallpapers, widgets and an emoji-themed lockscreen that changes based on charging status.

On that note, the latest Xiaoxin Pad retains the up-to-45W charging tech as its global counterpart, although it too ships with a 30W power brick as standard. It is also compatible with the promised 2nd-gen Xiaoxin Stylus and Pad Pro 12.6-specific keyboard.

This accessory works either as a magnetic tablet dock or completely wirelessly, and is rated to support some Windows shortcuts (requires ZUI 13 for Pad). However, it does not come in the box with a Pad Pro 12.6, and has a 599 yuan (US$94) price-tag instead. Similarly, the Xiaoxin Stylus Gen 2 now goes for 349 yuan (~$55). There is also a protective folio case, priced at 119 yuan

As for the new tablet itself, it seems a recent third-party retail leak was less than accurate: Lenovo has set the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6 as a single 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage SKU worth 4,299 yuan (~$672). That price applies from now via pre-order in China; however, it will be discounted to 3,699 yuan (~$578) as a November 11 promo.
