Lenovo has just officially confirmed the leaks pointing to an imminent launch for the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022, a slate that will come in a range of finish options as colorful as its 120Hz AMOLED display. Its metallic unibody will be ~7mm in depth and incorporate speakers tuned by JBL.

Lenovo has started to tease the rumored 2022 version of its Xiaoxin Pad Pro. The OEM has already made it pretty clear that this variant is aimed at those who might otherwise be inclined to go for entry-level iPads with an updated design that comes in colors such as Green Plume, Amber and Smoky Haze.

The Pad Pro 2022 will also come in finishes that, according to Lenovo, will combine "PMMA" (...polymethyl methacrylate? that could be a new one) and vegan leather for a two-tone effect. Despite these "vitality"-emphasizing touches, the upcoming slate will have the same display specs as its Pad Pro 12.6 sibling.

Lenovo touts the 2.5K panel in terms of its 10-bit color, 1,920Hz PWM dimming and TÜV eye-protection ratings thus far. It will be 11.2 inches in diagonal length in this latest Xiaoxin-series tablet, although the OEM has yet to announce further relevant specs, battery size included.

On that note, it is currently believed to come with the option of the MediaTek Kompanio 1300T platform as well as its the Snapdragon 870 of its predecessor. Lenovo has yet to announce a launch event date for the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022; hopefully, it and the potentially interesting price scheme it may contain are not too far away.
