A new Lenovo Tab P12 Pro on Android 12L has its own Google-generated discount code
Those who have heard of Android 12L already might be eager to test this new UI type for themselves, or even to adapt or make an app for it. However, this just might require a new device of the categories to which it applies, which, to recap briefly, are foldable-display phablets as well as conventional tablets or Chromebooks. Now, an attractive example of these electronics comes with a practically custom-made discount code for this purpose.
Google has announced the existence of this new code, which can be used on Lenovo's official webstore while purchasing a new Wi-Fi only Tab P12 Pro. The new slate (also known as the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.6 in China) has a 2K AMOLED display driven by the Snapdragon 870 SoC, and, thus, could make for a pretty nice Android 12L testing experience.
This incentive to use the new version of the OS optimized for form-factors besides smartphones is pitched at developers, although there is nothing stopping any enthusiast from also benefitting from the code in question. It is ADSLENOVOP12, and is valid on lenovo.com until February 2022.
The potential downside here is that it is not applicable in all regions worldwide: in fact, it only works on the versions of the website that operate in the US, the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and South Korea.
Furthermore, the Tab P12 Pro is yet to become available in some of these countries (the US included, which also lacks for units on other platforms such as Amazon for now) at the time of writing. Speaking of, the code in question just might fail to yield as good a deal as those in effect for Lenovo's ongoing Black Friday event.
For example, the tablet normally starts at €800 in Germany, but is down to €703 (a saving of ~€95) with the online code BLACKFRIDAY. Google's code, on the other hand, would confer a discount of €80.
Therefore, a shopper might get a better deal with the coupons applied by default on lenovo.com right now (which are even better in other markets such as Ireland (for a change)). Given that the site does not allow codes to be stacked, Google's offer might not be great by comparison - unless you can't buy right now.
The good news there is that it is valid until the end of February 2022, whereupon the Android 12L beta program will also come to an end. Therefore, it might be more worthwhile for those to whom the P12 Pro of their dreams will only become available at about the end of 2021 onward.
