Microsoft is currently selling the 16-inch Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro for just under $600 USD. The deal is notable for its H-series Ryzen 5 5600H CPU, 512 GB SSD, and 16:10 2.5-inch IPS QHD display which is probably one of the best panels you can find in this price range. Most laptops under $600 USD would typically come with slower U-series CPUs or 1080p panels instead.
During our time with a separately configured review unit, we found the processor, display, and battery life to be excellent especially considering the price. However, users must keep in mind the soldered RAM and lack of Thunderbolt support. The configuration on sale comes with just 8 GB of RAM and so owners would be stuck with limited RAM for the life of the product. It's a high price to pay for the otherwise impressive display and processor.
