The Surface Pro 7+ could make an excellent Black Friday purchase for those after a powerful and portable laptop. The machine has a 3:2 aspect ratio, Intel Tiger Lake processors and can be purchased for US$699.99 with a Type Cover included, or US$799.99 if you want a Core i5 model.

Microsoft has started selling the Surface Pro 8, but it shares many of its internals with the Surface Pro 7+, a device that is currently available for US$150 off through the Microsoft store and retailers like Best Buy. As it stands, two configurations are available, both with 8 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD.

In fact, the only customisation options are the choice between a Core i3-1115G4 and a Core i5-1135G7 processor. While Best Buy sells the Core i3 edition for US$699.99 and the Core i5 version for US$799.99, Microsoft has both for US$50 cheaper.

You cannot purchase either model without adding a Type Cover though, which Microsoft has reduced from US$129.99 to US$50 for its bundle. It is worth noting that Microsoft is offering discounts on accessories if you purchase the bundle, such as a US$36 saving on a Surface Pen, bringing it to US$99.99.

However, Microsoft will only allow you to choose a Type Cover in Black. Overall, Microsoft estimates that the bundle saves US$229.99 if you opt for the Core i5 model.
