At just under $400 USD, the HP 15-ef2126wm comes equipped with one of the fastest CPUs you can find for its sale price range. The 6-core Ryzen 5 5500U has faster multi-thread performance than even the Core i7-1165G7 as found on many laptops retailing for twice the price of our HP. Laptops for well under $500 USD typically come with Celeron, Atom, Pentium, or Core i3 processors instead which are all significantly slower than this Ryzen 5-powered HP.

Other notable specs include the FHD (1080p) display instead of the cheaper HD (720p) version, narrow side bezels, and a modern USB-C port.

RAM and storage are limited at just 8 GB and 256 GB, respectively, as HP had to cut corners to keep costs as low as possible. Though adding more modules to the motherboard is possible, HP makes it very hard to service the laptop.
