HP has expanded its Omen gaming monitor series with the Omen 27c. As its name suggests, the Omen 27c has a 27-inch panel that is also curved. Specifically, the Omen 27c relies on a 1000R curvature, allowing it to remain a 16:9 monitor.
The VA monitor resolves at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels (QHD) and supports up to 240 Hz over DisplayPort or 144 Hz at HDMI. Additionally, HP claims that the Omen 27c peaks at 450 nits, is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified and has a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. The monitor has 1 ms GtG and MPRT response times too, along with above 90% coverages of the DCI-P3 and sRGB colour spaces.
The monitor is AMD FreeSync Premium Pro is compliant as well, but HP has not included NVIDIA G-SYNC support. Moreover, HP has bundled Omen Gaming Hub and Eye Ease software, should you wish to use them.
Furthermore, HP equips the Omen 27c with two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, a USB Type-C connection and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The HP Omen 27c costs US$530, quite pricey as gaming monitors go. While T3 insists that the gaming monitor is available to order, HP's website insists that it is merely 'coming soon'.
