Deal | HP Victus 16 gaming laptop on sale for $759 USD with Core i5 CPU, 144 Hz IPS display, and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics
The 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD are laughable, but they are at least upgradeable. Gamers on tighter budgets may find good value out of the spacious 16.1-inch Victus 16.
HP is currently holding a sale on its midrange Victus 16 gaming laptop. The system is notable for its uncommon 144 Hz 16.1-inch display whereas most other gaming laptops have slightly smaller 15.6-inch displays. Users must apply the coupon code 'HOLIDAY5' at checkout to see the sale price of $759 USD.
Notable aspects of the configuration include its GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU which is respectable given the price range. Other models with the faster GeForce RTX 3060 would typically retail for $1000 or more in comparison. The high native refresh rate also helps to minimize screen tears when gaming. Chassis design is much stronger and more attractive than on the Pavilion series as well.
Perhaps the least exciting aspects of the deal are its measly 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB PCIe SSD. Gamers will absolutely want to upgrade these components for a better gaming experience. Thankfully, the bottom panel can be removed with a screwdriver and a bit of elbow of grease. We recommend checking out our review on the Victus 16 to learn more about the chassis and its features.
