Being more than 40% cheaper than its lists price, the ultra portable Chromebook x2 by HP is a suitable laptop for people who need to deal with light workloads on the go.
For many users, laptops first and foremost have to be portable. For everyone who needs a very light and portable machine, the well-known American manufacturer HP recently released the x2 Chromebook. This laptop's specs may sound low, but it is perfectly capable of handling most light computing tasks. Best Buy in the US now has discounted this laptop and offers it for a great price of US$349.
The HP Chromebook x2 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c, which is a 2.4GHz Octa-Core processor that has more than enough power to run Google's Chrome OS. This CPU is paired with 8GB of memory and 64GB of eMMC storage, which does not have the best reputation, but performs adequately in this laptop. The bright and well calibrated 11-inch touchscreen with a display resolution of 2160 by 1440 pixels is also one of the strong suits of the HP Chromebook x2.
We reviewed this laptop back in October and were particularly impressed by the high build quality, the removable kickstand and the fanless design. The HP Chromebook x2's battery life of almost 10 hours in our WiFi test was also quite appropriate for a notebook of this size. The HP Chromebook x2 further comes standard with an included keyboard and pen, which makes it an incredibly versatile laptop at this low price point of US$349.
