It has been a while since HP announced an all-AMD variant of the HP Omen 16. The laptop has since been available for purchase at all major outlets. Now, die-hard Team Red enthusiasts will finally get a chance to witness AMD Advantage hardware at its fullest and save a few bucks in the process.

The HP Omen 16 powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H and an AMD Radeon RX 6650M is now on sale at Best Buy for US$1,099, about US$480 lower than its asking price. Other specifications include 16 GB of 4,800 MT/s DDR5 RAM, a 16.1-inch FHD (1,920 x 1,090) 144 Hz screen, a 1 TB NVMe SSD and a 70 Wh battery. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1 are also supported.

While we didn't review the above configuration, the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H and Radeon RX 6650M can easily play demanding AAA titles at decent frame rates without compromising visual fidelity. Gamers on the lookout for an Intel plus Nvidia machine can consider the Asus TUF Dash F15, another similarly-specced, equally powerful laptop that is also on sale at Best Buy for the same price.
