The Lenovo Yoga Pro 14s Carbon 2022 is a new OLED touchscreen laptop with an ultra-light-weight build
Lenovo has devoted part of its latest major product event for the Chinese market to its latest 14-inch PC of the Yoga line. The Pro 14s Carbon 2022 owes part of its name to its main build material, which has helped the OEM cut its weight down to just 1.08kg.
The OEM never mentions the laptop's thickness in any specific way, although it is decidedly only just deep enough to accommodate USB type C ports. There are 3 of these, 1 of which may be present to charge the Pro 14s Carbon 2022's 61Wh battery at up to 65W. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack, at least.
Nevertheless, Lenovo asserts that the new PC's connectivity options, Wi-Fi 6 included, will make up for the lack of other ports. Furthermore, many users may find that the new Windows 11-powered Yoga's 16:10 90Hz 2.8K E4 OLED display with SGS and Eyesafe certifications may make up for them in any case.
Lenovo has now confirmed that it will be driven by the Ryzen 7 5800U processor, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of NVMe SSD storage. This package is now priced at 7,299 yuan (~US$1,140), although this might revert to 8,299 yuan (~US$1,297) after its Singles' Day promotional/launch event.
However, there is no guarantee these prices will translate exactly should the Yoga Pro 14s Carbon 2022 emerge under a different naming scheme for an international launch.
