Lenovo has been offering Intel Tiger Lake variants of the Yoga Slim 7i Pro for quite some time now while the AMD versions were still based on Zen 2 APUs. Now, Lenovo is introducing AMD Ryzen 5000 Zen 3-based Yoga Slim 7 Pro with much improved specifications.
The new Yoga Slim 7 Pro offers a choice between AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and Ryzen 5 5600H APUs. Lenovo indicates that the Ryzen 7 5800H can be configured up to an 80 W TDP, which should be interesting to test. Buyers can also optionally configure the device with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 or GeForce GTX 1650 discrete graphics. There's 16 GB of dual-channel RAM available paired with either 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe storage.
Lenovo offers two 16-inch 16:10 IPS display options for the Yoga Slim 7 Pro — a 2.5K (2560 x 1600) 500-nit 120 Hz panel and a 2.5K 400-nit 60 Hz panel. Both options are rated to offer 100% sRGB coverage and are certified for DisplayHDR 400.
Connectivity is facilitated by 2x2 Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5.1. Port selection includes 2x USB Type-C, 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, 1x HDMI 1.4b-out, an SD card reader, and a combo audio jack. Windows 11 comes pre-installed.
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro will be available in Cloud Grey and Storm Grey color options. Pricing and availability information will be disclosed at a later date.
