Lenovo has shared teaser images of the Yoga Pro 14s Carbon 2022, a smaller version of the Yoga 16s 2022. As the images below show, the 14s Carbon 2022 has a simple design with a chassis that tapers to a wedge. So far, the company has only shown the 14s Carbon 2022 from one side, which we have embedded below.
Currently, the company has not confirmed what processors the 14s Carbon 2022 relies on, unlike the Yoga 16s 2022. However, the lack of a Thunderbolt logo next to the device's USB Type-C port implies that Lenovo has opted for AMD processors rather than Intel ones. Incidentally, the same photos confirm that the 14s Carbon 2022 has a physical webcam kill switch.
Additionally, Lenovo claims that the device weighs 1.08 kg, impressively light for a 14-inch machine. Supposedly, Lenovo has achieved this weight by manufacturing the 14s Carbon 2022 using carbon fibre and an aluminium-magnesium alloy. The company asserts that the material change alone allows the 14s Carbon 2022 to be 23% lighter than the regular Yoga 14s.
Unfortunately, Lenovo is yet to state when the Yoga Pro 14s Carbon 2022 will be available. Based on the teasers so far, we expect the company to launch the device in China first, followed by other countries at a later date. We would not be surprised if Lenovo markets the Yoga Pro 14s Carbon 2022 under a different name in the US and Europe, too.
