Lenovo has released a number of new Yoga-series PCs in 2021, one of the newest of which is the Slim 7 Pro. Now, it seems an even newer model will also have a 16-inch display. The OEM has dropped a teaser for this fresh "designer's" laptop via its official Weibo channel.
Based on this new video, this Yoga 16s 2022 does look much like the pre-existing 14s, now available on the Chinese market. Its 16:10 screen is not OLED, although it is 2.8K with a 90Hz refresh rate at a price equivalent to ~US$1,082. It is powered by the Ryzen 7 5800HS processor, has 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. Accordingly, the Lenovo Yoga 16s 2022 might be expected to launch with similar, if slightly upgraded, specs.
It is more certain that it has a new extra suffix over its possible 14-inch counterpart, however. Conversely, it is projected to be on the market by October 2021, in line with hints from the OEM that it might launch during China's currently ongoing mid-fall (or Moon-Cake) festival.
Instead, it seems the Yoga 16s owes its new moniker to the Windows 11 OS it is portrayed as running out of the box. This, apparently, confers the ability to easily edit a video through touchscreen controls alone, based on its new trailer.
